Meta, other tech companies denied appeal over addiction lawsuits

A U.S. Appeals Court ruled that lawsuits alleging Meta Platforms, ByteDance's TikTok, and other social media platforms are addictive and harmful to young people can proceed. The ruling allows thousands of such lawsuits to move forward after tech companies sought to dismiss them.
