Democrats' midterm gains could sideline Electoral College by 2028

Democrats' midterm gains in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Arizona, Wisconsin, and Nevada have created a path to implement the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact. This compact would allocate electoral votes to the national popular vote winner once participating states reach 270 electoral votes.
