Los Angeles agrees to speed issuing concealed-carry permits for gun owners; deal settles fed lawsuit

Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna agreed to speed up concealed-carry permit issuance following a lawsuit settlement with the Justice Department. The deal commits the county to making an initial decision on permit applications within 90 days.
