Why the right is freaking out about “third worldism”

The State Department released a report describing Cuba as "the beating heart of a new and distinct kind of Marxism" which they call "Third Worldism." This doctrine is being spread by Cuba to foment revolution in America, according to Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Conservative influencers and media figures, including Chris Rufo and Ben Shapiro, have also begun to warn about this alleged "third worldist" threat, equating it to "woke" ideology and a danger to life, liberty, and property.
