U.S. International Transactions and Investment Position, 1st Quarter 2026 and Annual Update

The Bureau of Economic Analysis reported the U.S. current account deficit narrowed to $195.4 billion in the first quarter of 2026. The U.S. international investment position at the end of the first quarter of 2026 recorded net international assets of $2.3 trillion.
