The Trump Administration Wanted Her Expertise, Just Not Her

Julia Curlee, a transgender woman who served in intelligence roles including as Vice President Pence's daily briefer and on the National Security Council, was fired from the White House. Curlee later left the CIA citing a lack of support in an administration hostile to transgender people.
