The Juneteenth flag, explained

Ben Haith created the Juneteenth flag in 1997 and, with illustrator Lisa Jeanne Graf, finalized its design in 2000. The flag uses the colors red, white, and blue, mirroring the American flag, and features a star representing both Texas and the freedom of enslaved people.
