‘The Democratic Party is asleep at the wheel’: Democratic socialists are strategizing for their biggest moment yet

Democratic Socialists of America members met to strategize for increased influence within the Democratic Party and against capitalism. The organization, which claims to be the largest socialist organization in American history with 120,000 members, outlined a program including a future without capitalism, universal healthcare, and steps toward abolishing the police and prison system.
