Tests of the Reflecting Pool Turn Up a Surprise

The Atlantic reported that testing of the Reflecting Pool on the National Mall revealed a new genus of algae, Scenedesmus, is now flourishing. This development follows earlier efforts to combat a different algal bloom with hydrogen peroxide treatments.
