Special election for Scott’s House seat in Georgia heads to runoff

The special election to fill the remainder of the late Rep. David Scott’s term in Georgia is headed to a runoff as no candidate secured over 50 percent of the vote. The top two finishers were Scott’s daughter Marcye Scott and another candidate who will now proceed to a second round of voting.
