South Dakota GOP election official backs Democrat to succeed her

South Dakota Secretary of State Monae Johnson endorsed Democratic candidate Terrence Davis for her successor, bypassing the Republican nominee Heather Baxter. Johnson had previously lost the Republican nomination to Baxter at the state convention.
