The U.S. Trade Representative reported that South Dakota exported $1.9 billion of goods in 2025 and that these exports supported an estimated 21 thousand jobs in 2023. Canada was South Dakota's largest export market, accounting for 46 percent of the state’s total goods exports in 2025.
