Slotkin asks Hegseth, Caine to confirm troops won’t be sent to polling places

Senator Elissa Slotkin sent letters to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chair Gen. Dan Caine asking them to confirm U.S. servicemembers will not be deployed to polling places. The letters were sent on Monday and ask for confirmation the Defense Department will not send federal troops to polling locations.
