Senate committee advances Dr. Erica Schwartz to be Trump's CDC director

The Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee advanced Dr. Erica Schwartz's nomination to lead the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. If confirmed by the full Senate, Dr. Schwartz would become the 22nd director of the agency.
