Republican running for NY House seat sues Democrat-run city for blocking GOP ‘town hall’

Joe Cinquemani, the GOP candidate for the 16th Congressional District, sued the city in federal court on first amendment grounds last week. The lawsuit led city officials to backtrack on their earlier claims of a "scheduling conflict" that prevented him from hosting his event at the Doles Recreation Center.
