Republican-led Senate panel will ask Justice Department to charge Dr. Anthony Fauci with contempt of Congress

Republican Senator Rand Paul announced plans to refer Dr. Anthony Fauci to the Justice Department for contempt of Congress following his refusal to testify on the Covid-19 pandemic response. The Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee narrowly voted along party lines to hold Fauci in contempt, citing his invocation of his Fifth Amendment rights.
