Medicaid says it will stop paying for some gender-affirming care for transgender minors

Medicaid announced it will cease payments for gender-affirming surgeries and hormone treatments for transgender minors and the state Children's Health Insurance Program will not cover these treatments for individuals under 19. This policy change was implemented by the Trump administration.
