Judge orders Kennedy Center to pay $250,000 to performer who canceled show over addition of Trump’s name
A Washington, DC judge ordered the Kennedy Center to pay jazz artist Chuck Redd more than $250,000 for legal fees and damages after Redd canceled a performance in protest of President Trump's name being added to the venue. The Kennedy Center sued Redd for breach of contract after his cancellation, but the judge found no contract existed.
