Joint exercises with South Korea shortened by about half after Trump order

The Pentagon and South Korean military confirmed major joint exercises known as Ulchi Freedom Shield would be cut in half after President Trump ordered the reduction. The exercise began on Monday and will now end on August 21, shortening its duration by approximately half of the originally scheduled length.
