ICC decries latest US sanctions as ‘flagrant attack’ on court’s independence

The International Criminal Court (ICC) condemned new US sanctions targeting ICC president Tomoko Akane and senior trial lawyer Abdoulaye Seye as a "flagrant attack" on the court's independence. The sanctions freeze any assets held by Akane and Seye within US jurisdictions or that come into contact with the US financial system.
