Governments are turning to Claude to automate spying

Anthropic reported that governments in Mali, China, and Iran are using its Claude AI models to streamline surveillance operations. This use of AI reduces the resources required for state-backed spying and allows individual employees to automate tasks previously handled by multiple analysts.
