GOP Sen. Dan Sullivan’s same-name challenger is ineligible for ballot, official rules

Alaska Division of Elections Director Carol Beecher ruled that a US Senate candidate named Dan Sullivan is ineligible for the August primary ballot. Beecher stated the challenger’s candidacy was filed to confuse voters and compromise ballot fairness, not to declare a good-faith run for office.
