GOP lawmakers keep trying to defang voters in their own states

Kansas voters rejected a ballot proposal from the Republican-controlled legislature that would have altered the judicial appointment process to favor Republican candidates. Missouri voters also rejected a legislative measure that would have made it more difficult for citizens to pass amendments through ballot initiatives.
