GOP chair of House Judiciary Committee asks Justice Department to consider prosecuting Jack Smith

Republican Rep. Jim Jordan asked the Justice Department to consider criminally charging special counsel Jack Smith, alleging Smith misled the committee in testimony and obtained text messages from Trump administration officials. The Justice Department confirmed receipt of Jordan's referral and stated it will investigate all evidence of criminal conduct.
