Former White House teleprompter operator ordered to turn over profits, pay fine over insider trading
A former White House teleprompter operator, Gabriel Perez, agreed to surrender over $100,000 in profits and pay a $65,000 fine to settle with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. The settlement also bars Perez from trading for three years following allegations he used non-public information from presidential speeches to make bets on the prediction market Kalshi.
