Embattled Seattle police chief relieved of his duties by democratic socialist mayor, Black protest planned

Seattle Police Chief Shon Barnes was reportedly asked to resign by Mayor Bruce Harrell following his departure from a vigil for victims of the Bite of Seattle mass shooting. Barnes has been leading the department for under a year and is the third police chief to leave the position in two years.
