DOJ charges former SPLC employee in superseding indictment against the civil rights group

The Department of Justice charged former Southern Poverty Law Center employee Heidi Beirich with overseeing payments to informants monitoring hate groups. These are the first charges brought against an individual in the superseding indictment against the civil rights nonprofit.
