Democrats hit the anti-incumbency trap

Rep. Brad Schneider (D-Ill.) stated that off-putting Republican candidates with positions not reflecting the majority of a state have helped Democrats win seats. The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has failed in three attempts to elevate a candidate in a Democratic House primary.
