Democratic panel picks South Carolina as first primary state

The Democratic National Committee's Rules and Bylaws committee voted to approve South Carolina as the first state in the 2028 Democratic presidential primary contest. This recommendation will now be considered by the entire Democratic National Committee in Austin, Texas.
