Canada Prime Minister Mark Carney announced dollar-for-dollar retaliation against U.S. tariffs beginning September 8 after negotiations failed to resolve trade tensions. The United States imposed 50% tariffs on approximately $20 billion worth of Canadian products on Saturday.
