Black, Latino Dems feud over calendar for 2028 presidential primary

The Rev. Al Sharpton and South Carolina Democratic Party chair Christale Spain stated South Carolina should remain first on the presidential primary calendar. Latino leaders including Voto Latino and the Latino Victory Project urged the Democratic National Committee's Rules & Bylaws Committee to pick Nevada to vote first in 2028.
