‘Airplane forfeited for a 6-pack’: Supreme Court takes up excessive fines appeal

Bush pilot Ken Jouppi argued before the Supreme Court that the U.S. Constitution's ban on excessive fines was "built for cases like" his forfeiture of a plane for a small amount of alcohol. The Supreme Court is considering whether this forfeiture constituted an excessive fine.
