A Silver Lining in Afghanistan

The Atlantic reported that under Taliban rule, Afghanistan has not become a global terrorist hub and Al-Qaeda has not carried out an attack on the U.S. or Europe from the country since the withdrawal. The magazine stated that the Taliban has become a counterterrorism partner, overturning expectations of analysts who believed the group would revert to being a major sponsor of global terror.
